Fueling Production - Intentionally
Our understanding of wells comes from generations of inherited wisdom and experience, and when it comes to operating, that's where we'll stay.
But doing things the old way only works… if it works.
So, wherever we can find efficiencies in how we run our business, we do it.
Paper check stubs,
in our day and age?
Some are surprised to hear that in the oil and gas industry, everything still runs by paper. Contracts are mailed back and forth for ink signatures, ownership filings happen in person at county courthouses, payments are made by paper check, and taxes are filed from the collected stubs.
At Red Rock, we've asked the radical question that most other industries asked long ago. Does it really need to be all on paper? Could we run more like an agile tech company than a big, bloated corporation? Of course we can. It just hasn't been done yet in our industry.
So wherever we can,
we've gone digital.
This makes us one of the leanest, most efficient operators in the industry. We've brought in or built our own tech solutions that allow us to source and underwrite deals, negotiate and close contracts, set up payment methods, and get returns flowing to our investors. This puts us at an advantage at every stage of the business, all adding value to our investors.
It's the way it should
have been done –
for a long time now.

Where they need to be.
Another holdover from the 20th century is big centralized offices where all the paper had to be pushed and lots of time was spent in meetings. We've instead opted to find the people we need in the places they are needed and let them live and work there.
This allows us to have exactly the team we want, with local expertise, in the locations where they are needed. We give them the tools that allow them to do what they do best, and set them loose.
Communication is Key
Instead of endless meetings and bureaucracy, we aim for daily alignment. Our entire team touches base briefly at the beginning of each day and gives updates on their arena and what they're working on. We troubleshoot problems with our collective wisdom and then set everybody loose to get to work.
